WE’RE HIRING: SWIM INSTRUCTORS
Saskatoon Water Polo Club is looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our I Love Water Polo (ILWP) team!
I Love Water Polo is our learn-to-swim and introductory water polo program, designed to help young swimmers build confidence, develop fundamental swimming skills, and have fun in the water.
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal instructors are:
- Confident and comfortable swimming in deep water
- Able to tread water in deep water for extended periods of time
- Enthusiastic about working with young swimmers
- Reliable, positive, and ready to create a fun learning environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a coaching team
Assets — But Not Required
Previous aquatic experience and certifications are an asset, including:
- Competitive swimming, water polo, or other aquatic sport experience
- Previous swim instruction, coaching, or lifeguarding experience
- Water Polo Specific Community or Competitive Coaching Course (Opportunity to complete this fall)
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor / Swim for Life Instructor certification
- Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross
- National Lifeguard (NL) certification
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification
You do not need to be a certified swim instructor or lifeguard to apply. We’re looking for great people who are strong, confident swimmers, enjoy working with kids, and are excited to learn
