What is a MO?

No, it’s not who is MO.

MO stands for minor officials and we couldn’t run CLs and provincials without them. During community and provincial events two minor officials, a game secretary and a time keeper, are needed for each game.

This responsibility is not a big time commitment, however it has a significant impact on both these events and our club. Games cannot be played without MOs. When MOs are organized & on time, these events run more smoothly. Volunteering to MO at these smaller events gives you an opportunity to practice and help you prepare to MO at NCL events. Most importantly, it demonstrates your dedication to the club as a parent.

MO training is currently only offered in Regina the fall. It is an interactive four hour class. You must complete the course before signing up to MO. Once you’re trained, you’ll receive a shirt and can sign up to MO on the Google Sheet.

A Pirate's family member is encouraged to become a MO.
